Drey Ricks, “It’s imperative to know what you’re really good at and where you need to strive to make improvements. Pay attention to things like your help defense, the release point of your shot, sprinting back on defense, and things of that nature. When you get better at the little nuances of the game, you’ll be surprised by the major impact it makes.”
Drey Ricks stressesit does not matter how hard you work if you don’t believe in yourself. When the lights are on and you tense up under pressure all your hard work will go unnoticed without the right mentality and approach.
The younger an athlete starts and perfects the positive mindset the more successful they will be in sports. It’s not always the best athlete on the court who performs the best it’s the most comfortable athlete who performs the best.
